FOR TRANSIT FACILITY SIGNAGE
SPECIFICATIONS NO. PT-14-19

PIERCE TRANSIT is a municipal corporation with administrative offices located at 3701 96th Street SW, Lakewood, Washington 98499-4431. Bid proposals are being solicited from bidders to furnish labor, equipment and materials to complete the Transit Facility Signage. The signage is part of an overall rebranding effort.

Scope of Work: Provide labor, equipment, and materials that shall include but not be limited to stripping and repainting existing metal text; fabrication, removal and installation of exterior metal text and logos; and producing and installing vinyl decals for exterior stand-alone signs. Electronic artwork files will be provided upon award of contract.

The Estimated cost is $91,000.00-$105,000.00.

Sealed bids will be accepted at Pierce Transit’s Headquarters, Main Lobby Reception Counter located at: 3701 96th St. SW, Lakewood, Washington until 2:00 p.m. on March 12, 2019 at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud.

A Pre-Bid Meeting will be held on March 1, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. and will convene in the lobby of Pierce Transit’s Building 5, Training Facility located at: 3720 96th Street SW, Lakewood, Washington 98499. The Pre-Bid is estimated to take ninety (90) minutes so please plan accordingly:
• Walk to Building 5 Exterior Sign.
• Walk to Building 4, Administrative Offices located at: 3701 96th Avenue SW, Lakewood, Washington 98499 to Stand Alone Sign.
• Walk to Building 4 Monument Sign.
• Walk back to Building 5.
• Drive to Building 6 located at: 9622 40th Ave SW, Lakewood, Washington 98499
• for Illumination Sign (Attendees will be responsible for transportation to the site).
• Drive to SR512 Park-n-Ride located at: 10617 S. Tacoma Way, Lakewood, Washington 98499 to Landmark Sign (Attendees will be responsible for transportation to the site).

All prospective bidders are encouraged to attend. Attendees are required to wear an ANSI II rated high visibility vest or shirt and closed toe shoes.

Each bid must be accompanied by a Certified Check or Bid Bond in an amount equal to five (5) percent of the Total Bid.

Disadvantaged, Minority, and Women’s Business Enterprises are encouraged to respond. Pierce Transit does not discriminate on the grounds of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, age or handicap in consideration for a project award.

Pierce Transit reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive technicalities or irregularities and to accept any bid if such action is believed to be for the best interest of Pierce Transit.

Plans, specifications, addenda, reference documents, and plan holders list for this Project are available on-line through Builders Exchange of Washington, Inc. at http://www.bxwa.com. Click on: “Posted Projects”; “Public Works”, “Pierce Transit”, and “Projects Bidding”. Bidders are encouraged to “Register as a Bidder”, in order to receive automatic email notification of future addenda and to be placed on the “Bidders List”. This service is provided free of charge to Prime Bidders, Subcontractors, & Vendors bidding this project. This online plan center provides bidders with fully usable online documents, including time saving on-line digitizer/take-off tools; automatic addenda notification; viewing and or printing plans, details, & specifications at your own desk top printer, plotter, or from multiple reprographic houses utilizing on-line print order form. Prospective bidders are required to abide by Pierce Transit’s general instructions to bidders. Failure of bidders to comply with the general instructions may result in disqualification of their bid.
