1.0 Introduction
Star Marine Inc. is seeking solicitations for bids to replace the two pre-Tier 0 main engines on our Tug RED BLUFF to Tier 3 rated main engines and suitable reverse gears for the new engines. Two generator sets will also be replaced.
The RED BLUFF is a 70 foot twin screw coastal tug built in 1968, powered by the original Caterpillar engines and Caterpillar 3192 reverse gears. The existing generators are 65 KW and larger than necessary, replacements shall be 27-40 KW continuous duty. Your quote can be for generator engines only or main engines only or both.

The due date for receiving your proposal is April 30, 2020, 5:00 pm PDT. Proposals received after the due date will not be accepted.
