CITY OF ENUMCLAW, WA ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

The City of Enumclaw (City) is soliciting sealed bids for the Ultraviolet (UV) Disinfection System Upgrade and Miscellaneous Improvements Project. Sealed bids will be received by the City at the Public Works Administration Building at 1309 Myrtle Avenue, Enumclaw, WA 98022, until 2:00 P.M., Thursday, November 30th, 2017.

Description of Work: This work is for upgrades to the City’s existing Wastewater Treatment Plant. The Work includes: a new UV disinfection system and ancillary components, new loading platform and crane in sludge pumping building, new sludge holding tank diffused aeration system and blower upgrade, and miscellaneous piping, valve, gate, and field instrumentation modifications. The Work is to be performed during January 2018 through July 2018.

Bid Proposals: Bid Proposals must be submitted on the forms provided in the Contract Documents. Bid acceptance and contract award provisions are specified in the Contract Documents. Bid security, in the form of a certified or bank cashier’s check or bid bond executed by a licensed bonding company, in an amount not less than 5% of the bid amount, payable to the City, is required with each bid. 100% performance and payment bonds will be required from the successful bidder.

Rejection of Bids: The City shall have the right to reject any or all bids not accompanied by bid security, or data required by the bidding documents, a bid in any way incomplete or irregular, or if the bid amount exceeds the amount of funds available for the project.

Special Requirements: The City is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer. Small, Minority- and Women-owned businesses are encouraged to submit bids. All work performed on the project will be subject to state prevailing wage rates.
