Warm Beach Water System Water Replacement Project

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Commissioners of Public Utility District No. 1 of Snohomish County will receive electronic proposals for the following work:

WARM BEACH WATER SYSTEM WATER REPLACEMENT PROJECT

Bids will only be opened at a teleconference on Thursday, May 20, 2021, at 2:00 pm (Local Time).  Bids received after this time will not be considered. The bid opening is public, and all bids will be read aloud. Each bid must be accompanied by proof of bid security which guarantees the amount of 5 percent (5%) of the total amount bid, excluding tax.

This project consists of installing approximately 3,550 linear feet of eight-inch ductile iron water main and associated fittings, 40 linear feet of six-inch ductile iron water main and associated fittings, 10 new fire hydrant assemblies and appurtenances and 3 combination air vacuum release assemblies. The project also includes installation of 110 water services, asphalt trench patching, asphalt restoration overlay, private asphalt, concrete and gravel driveway removal and restoration, erosion control and landscape/surface restoration. The primary purpose of the proposed project is to replace aging water system infrastructure. Construction shall be performed while maintaining service to the existing water system. The location of the work is on 188th St. NW, 98th Ave. NW, Clarence Ave. and Soundview Drive, near the City of Stanwood, in Snohomish County, Washington.

This project is funded through the Washington State Drinking Water State Revolving Loan program with federal funds from the Environmental Protection Agency. All work performed on the project will be subject to Davis-Bacon/Prevailing Wage requirements and will be subject to the higher of the prevailing state or federal wage rates. 

All Drinking Water State Revolving Fund requirements or provisions must be met by general contractors and all subcontractors. All contractors are required to be licensed to conduct business in Washington State. 

The District retains the right to reject any and all bids.
