REQUEST FOR STATEMENT OF QUALIFICATIONS
WASTEWATER TREATMENT SYSTEM UPGRADES
ENGINEERING DESIGN SERVICES
The Town of Concrete is seeking proposals to provide professional design and construction administration services for work related to upgrades at the town’s wastewater treatment plant and lift stations. Specifically the town has received funding through the Department of Commerce, Community Development Block Grant program with federal funds provided by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, for the design and installation of a new rotodrum 2mm screen system alongside the existing headworks screen with installation of a 2HP pump to lift the flow from downstream of the rock trap into the new screen as well as needed upgrades to certain components within each of the three lift stations within the town’s sewer collection system, including but not limited to pumps, guide rails, valves and electrical components.
The experience of the engineer with similar types of projects in a small town environment will be a consideration in the selection of the consultant as well as knowledge regarding funding agency requirements. The professional credentials of the engineer will also be a major determinant in the selection process, along with a demonstrated understanding of the town’s needs.
Proposals should be prepared simply and economically, providing a straight forward, concise description of the provider’s capabilities to satisfy the requirements of the request and should not exceed 10-doublesided sheets (20 pages).
