WATER DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM IMPROVEMENTS 2018 Rebid

Sealed bids will be received for the Basin City Water-Sewer Water Distribution System Improvements 2018 Rebid Project by Basin City Water-Sewer District at the District Office, 7020 Road 170, Basin City, WA 99343, until 9:00 a.m. local time, Thursday, May 9, 2019.  Bids will be opened at the District Office commencing at 9:00 a.m. local time and read aloud publicly.  All interested individuals are welcome to attend.  Bids must be received prior to the established bid opening time in order to be considered.

 

The project includes construction of new 8” and 10” waterlines to upgrade and replace existing 4” and 6” waterlines, including necessary interconnections and appurtenances.  Additional alternate waterline improvements may be included in the project depending on available project funding.  The selected contractor shall provide all necessary labor, equipment, transportation, supervision, materials and incidentals to complete the work.

 

This project is funded through the Washington State Community Development Block Grant program with federal funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

Contract documents were prepared by James A. In order to submit a bid, Bidders and all of their specialty contractors are required to have a current license issued by the Washington State Department of Labor and Industries as a contractor in compliance with chapter 18.27 RCW.  The contractor license(s) must be in effect at the specified time of bid submittal.

 

All bids shall be accompanied by one of the following forms of Bidder’s security in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid amount of the Base Bid made payable to Basin City Water-Sewer District - a) Bidder’s Bond executed by a surety company qualified to conduct business in the State of Washington; b) Certified Check; c) Cashier’s Check; d) Cash.  Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish satisfactory performance bond and payment bond within the time stated in the specifications, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to Basin City Water-Sewer District. 

 

Basin City Water-Sewer District shall have the right to reject any or all bids and/or make award to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder for the base bid plus add alternate bid items within funding limitations at the time of bid award.

 

Bidders are required to meet all requirements of the project funding agencies and to meet the higher of all state prevailing wage and federal Davis-Bacon wage requirements, including all wage requirements for off-site fabrication, delivery, and work.  All work performed on this project will be subject to the higher of the prevailing state or federal wage rates.  Zone differential pay may apply.  Small, Minority- and Women-owned firms are encouraged to submit bids.  Basin City Water-Sewer District is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer.
