WATER TREATMENT PLANT HVAC AND ELECTRICAL IMPROVEMENTS

Sealed Proposals will be received by the undersigned at the City of Woodland, 230 Davidson Avenue, Woodland, Washington 98674, up to 1:00 p.m., local time on Tuesday, August 21, 2018, for furnishing the necessary labor, materials, equipment, tools, and guarantees thereof to construct the Water Treatment Plant HVAC and Electrical Improvements.

Water Treatment Plant improvements include heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) improvements in the Filter Room, Office/Laboratory, and Soda Ash Room.  Electrical improvements at the Water Treatment Plant include plant power system improvements, to include a new automatic transfer switch, auxiliary power generator, replacing panelboards, and revamping the motor control center.  Electrical improvements also include replacing receptacles and wiring damaged by corrosion and providing wiring to new HVAC equipment.  The Water Treatment Plant control panel will be replaced and programmed as part of the improvements.  Additive work includes replacing motor‑operated valves and valve operators as well as solenoid valves on the three water filtration units.

The Work shall be substantially complete within 240 working days after the commencement date stated in the Notice to Proceed.  All bidding and construction is to be performed in compliance with the Contract Provisions and Contract Plans for this project and any addenda issued thereto that are on file at the office of the City Clerk, City Hall, Woodland, Washington.

The Proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud shortly after the time and date stated above.  Proposals are to be submitted only on the form provided with the Bid Documents.  All Proposals must be accompanied by a certified check, postal money order, cashier’s check, or proposal bond payable to the “City of Woodland” and in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total Proposal amount.

A Prebid Conference is scheduled for Thursday, August 9, 2018.  The conference will begin at the Public Works Office, 300 East Scott Avenue, Woodland, Washington at 8:30 a.m. (local time).  Prospective bidders are encouraged to participate.  No unauthorized visits or unscheduled visits will be allowed.

Financing of the Project has been provided by the City of Woodland, Washington.  The City of Woodland expressly reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals and to waive minor irregularities or informalities and to Award the Project to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder as it best serves the interests of the City.
