NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that sealed bids will be received by Whatcom County Administrative Services Finance/Purchasing at their office on the fifth floor of the Whatcom County Courthouse, 311 Grand Avenue Suite 503, Bellingham WA 98225 for the following:

SILVER BEACH CREEK STORMWATER IMPROVEMENTS – PHASE 2

UNTIL: 2:30 PM Tuesday, July 23, 2024

At which time and place the bids will be publicly opened (virtual via Zoom) and read aloud. All bidders and any other interested people are invited to watch the live bid opening via Zoom. Late submittals will not be considered.

Whatcom County Public Works requests bids for the Silver Beach Creek Stormwater Improvements – Phase 2 project. This project provides for the re-alignment and reconstruction of approximately 270 lineal feet of the Silver Beach Creek mainstem channel. Work includes clearing and grubbing, filling the old channel, excavation, grading and shaping the new channel, furnishing and placing streambed gravels, habitat boulders, and large woody material in the new channel, and completing surface restoration and planting. Also included is salvaging onsite trees for use as large woody material, hauling debris to waste, erosion control, traffic control, diverting stream flows around the work area, and other work, as further described in the bid documents.

Award will be made to the lowest qualified bidder. Whatcom County reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and to waive any irregularities. Whatcom County encourages disadvantaged, minority and women owned firms to respond.
