NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that sealed bids will be received by Whatcom County Administrative Services Finance/Purchasing at their office on the fifth floor of the Whatcom County Courthouse, 311 Grand Avenue Suite 503, Bellingham WA 98225 for the following:
Small Area Paving Project (2024)
UNTIL: 2:30 PM Tuesday, September 17, 2024
At which time and place the bids will be publicly opened (live/virtual via Zoom), and read aloud. All bidders and any other interested persons are invited to be present at the live bid opening via Zoom. Late submittals will not be considered.
Whatcom County Public Works requests bids for the Small Area Paving Project (2024), CRP No. 924027. This project includes all labor, equipment, and materials for the repair/repaving of sections of roads, railroad crossings and bridge approaches and decks throughout unincorporated Whatcom County, Washington. Work includes planing of bituminous or HMA pavement, HMA paving, crack sealing, shoulder repairs, and pavement markings, and other work as further described in the bid documents.

Award will be made to the lowest qualified bidder. Whatcom County reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and to waive any irregularities. Whatcom County encourages disadvantaged, minority and women owned firms to respond.
Whatcom County, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award.
As required by law, the E-Verify System may be required.
