Whatcom Co; Bid #25-23 Acme Woody Revetment Repair
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that sealed bids will be received by Whatcom County Administrative Services Finance/Purchasing at their office on the fifth floor of the Whatcom County Courthouse, 311 Grand Avenue, Suite 503, Bellingham WA 98225 for purchase and installation of the following:
Acme Woody Revetment Repair
UNTIL: 2:30 PM Tuesday, April 15, 2025
At which time and place the bids will be opened (virtual via Zoom), and read aloud. All bidders and any other interested persons are invited to watch the virtual bid opening via Zoom. Late submittals will not be considered.
Whatcom County Flood Control Zone District (WCFCZD) requests bids for the Acme Woody Revetment Repair, Project No. 19082358. This project provides for the repair of a woody revetment on the left bank South Fork Nooksack River, near Acme, WA, including three engineered log structures (ELSs), and other associated work, as further described in the bid documents.

A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, April 3, 2025 on the project site near Acme, WA (Parcel No. 390533290509). Only bidders who register at the mandatory pre-bid meeting will be qualified to submit bids. The meeting will include a walk-through of the site and bidders will be able to ask any questions of Whatcom County Public Works staff who will be involved in this project. The site walk is approximately 0.5 miles roundtrip and will include walking through brush and over uneven terrain. Bidders shall wear appropriate clothing and footwear to view the entirety of the site.
Award will be made to the lowest qualified bidder. The WCFCZD reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and to waive any irregularities. The WCFCZD encourages disadvantaged, minority and women owned firms to respond.
The WCFCZD in conjunction with Whatcom County, herein after referred to jointly as ‘Whatcom County’, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, (42 U.S.C. 2000d et seq.) and Title 2 Code of Federal Regulations Part 200.321(b)(1)-(5), hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, small and minority businesses, women’s business enterprises, and labor surplus area firms as defined at 2 CFR, will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin, or sex in consideration for an award.
As required by law, the E-Verify System may be required.
