Project Description:

Phase 1 Scope of Work includes the following:

1) The comprehensive renovation of the interior and exterior of Building 26 as well as a building addition of approximately 13,000 square feet.

2) Site development and landscaping are also included in the scope.

3) The renovation will include hazardous material abatement and demolition of interior floors, walls, doors, relites, and finishes. Exterior demolition includes removal of metal siding, soffits, ceiling and miscellaneous framing. New openings are to be cut into existing CMU walls.

4) The interior renovation and addition will consist of new Offices, Classrooms, Health Care Labs, Simulation Labs, and Life Science labs.

5) The scope also at this phase includes new electrical, mechanical, and fire protection systems.

6) New exterior walls will be steel framed, with an exterior envelope consisting of a polycarbonate panel system, metal panel system, curtain wall, and storefront.

7) The existing structural system will receive seismic upgrades including the addition of concrete shear walls. New structure will be steel framed with concrete foundations.

8) Interior finishes will include carpet, sheet flooring, suspended ceilings, paint, ceramic tile, interior storefront and curtain wall, casework, and laboratory casework. All new doors, frames, and hardware are included.

9) The existing roof system will be modified and a new skylight assembly will be installed.

10) The existing main campus Telecom Center located on the south side of the first floor of Building 26 will remain fully operational throughout the duration of the project.

11) Additional renovation in the IT Suite includes new ceilings, mechanical, electrical, and fire protection. This work is included in Phase 1.

Phase 2 Scope of Work includes the following:

1) Hazardous material abatement and complete demolition of Buildings 5 and 11.

2) Site development and landscaping are also included in the scope of this phase.
