Kiewit requests quotes from Minority, Small Business, Veteran and Women owned business enterprises (MSVWBE) who are construction subcontractors, suppliers & service providers in a multitude of heavy construction work scopes & disciplines to support our prime bid to WSDOT’s:
SR 99 / DEMOLITION, DECOMMISSIONING AND SURFACE STREET PROJECT
Work scope, includes:
- Demolition of 1.4 Miles of the SR 99 Alaskan Way Viaduct @ the Seattle Waterfront
- Decommissioning of the existing Battery Street Tunnel
- Reconstruct Aurora Avenue and adjacent Surface Streets – Denny Way to Harrison St
Subcontractor work scopes include but are not limited to:
- Demolition - Concrete Flatwork
- Landscaping - Paving and Pavement Marking-
- Potholing (Utility Locates) - Settlement & Vibration Monitoring
- Soot Removal - Traffic Control & Signage
- Trucking - Utilities

In order to assist certified small business subcontractors and suppliers, we will divide scopes of work into economically feasible units, and will assist firms with meeting delivery schedules, providing points of contact regarding bonding, lines of credit, and insurance; and giving information so that Small Business can secure their own sources of equipment in order to maximize Small & Disadvantaged Business participation. Kiewit requires Subcontractor Performance & Payment Bonds; Material Supply Bonds; and use of our standard contract forms
