Walsh Construction Company II, LLC, as a prime Contractor, is requesting bids from subcontractors and suppliers, including certified MBE and WBE firms, for the following:
Georgetown Wet Weather Treatment Station - Conveyance
King County

Project Introduction:
Construction of Phase II of the Georgetown Wet Weather Station Treatment Station. Pipe conveyance replaces existing conveyance and takes wastewater to the outfall at the Duwamish River.
Work Scopes:
- Demolition, dewatering, sewer bypassing, excavation, shoring and excavation support systems, pipe installation and testing, backfill and compaction, for 36-inch and 60-inch diameter and 4-foot by 8-foot square combined sewer and effluent pipelines and associated diversion manholes.
- Surface restoration including sidewalks, curb and gutter, and asphalt and cement concrete paving.
- Utility protection and relocation including electrical, gas sanitary sewers, combined sewers, storm drains, water mains, fire protection mains, fiber optics, and other utilities.
- Responsibility for all Seattle Department of Transportation Street Use permit fees, reviews, and inspections.
- Asphalt paving, sawcutting, trucking/hauling, traffic control, erosion control, landscaping, geotechnical monitoring, mechanical and electrical.

The project has a MBE goal of 10%, WBE goal of 6% and Apprenticeship requirements of 15%. Walsh Construction Company II, LLC intends to negotiate with all certified MBE and WBE firms to encourage project participation, including consideration of quotes for any item of work, portion of an item, or combination thereof. Please send copy of MBE and WBE certification with bid.
Bonding and Insurance
Performance and payment bonds with a surety company, subject to the approval of Walsh, are required of subcontractors with subcontracts for $250,000 or more. We will reimburse bond premiums up to 2%.
