ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the City of Entiat, until 11:00 a.m. on April 17, 2019 for the Fire Station Park Project.  Bid proposals will be received by the Clerk at the City of Entiat, City Hall, 14070 Kinzel St., and will then and there be opened, read, and tabulated publicly.  Order of magnitude is approximately $500,000. Proposals received after the time fixed for opening will not be considered.

The Fire Station Park project consists of the construction of a baseball field and soccer field, walking trail, parking lot, and pre-cast concrete restroom. The major items of work for the Fire Station Park shall include, but not be limited to the saw cutting and removal of existing HMA roadway surfacing, saw cutting and removal of existing concrete sidewalk, excavation and embankment, grading, crushed surfacing, HMA paving, cement concrete curb and gutter and sidewalks, precast concrete restroom, new water meter and service line, new sanitary sewer lateral, power and communications, baseball field infield, baseball field backstop, fencing, concrete flat work, benches, bleachers, soccer goals and other features. All in accordance with the contract plans, the special provisions, and the WSDOT/APWA Standard Specifications.

Time for completion of the work is as outline in Special Provision 1-08.5 of the project documents.  The Notice to Proceed date for this project will be a mutually agreed date between the City of Entiat and the Contractor on or before June 7, 2019.

Each bid proposal shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit by certified check, cashier's check, postal money order, or surety bond in an amount equal to at least 5 percent of the amount of the bid proposal.  Checks shall be made payable to the City of Entiat.  Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish satisfactory performance and payment bond within the time stated in the specifications, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the City of Entiat.  The City of Entiat reserves the right to waive informalities in the bidding, accept a Proposal of the lowest responsible Bidder, reject any or all Bids, republish the call for Bids, revise or cancel the Work, or require the Work to be done in another way if the best interest of the City is served.

No bidder may withdraw his proposal after the hours set for the opening thereof, or before award of contract, unless said award is delayed for a period exceeding forty-five (45) days.
