Project Overview
The Westside Fire Station is located adjacent to the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport airfield on the west side, adjacent to the PACCAR Hanger. This facility is to serve as a satellite fire station to the main fire station located at the airport. The project would provide a fully functional shelter for the Fire Department’s Aircraft Rescue Fighting (ARFF) trucks and equipment, and the necessary living quarters to accommodate four (4) shifts of five (5) fire fighters each shift. This facility will have direct access to the airfield enabling the Fire Department to meet the FAA’s mandated response time.
