REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL

BERTH 5 TRANSFER CHUTE REPLACEMENT

PROJECT NO: 20-011-RFP

 

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Port of Longview (Port) is seeking proposals from qualified Contractors for the removal, manufacture and installation of a new transfer chute at the Port’s Berth 5 calcined coke export facility. Work is to be completed no later than April 30, 2020.

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN: The Port of Longview will receive proposals in the office of the Contracts Administrator, Port of Longview, 10 Port Way, Longview, Washington, either in person, delivery by USPS or other carrier/courier no later than 3:00 p.m. on March 27, 2020.

 

SOLICITATION DOCUMENTS: The complete solicitation documents may be accessed from the Port’s website at http://www.portoflongview.com/Bids.aspx. In addition to posting on the above website, the Port also may email addenda information out to all known interested parties for convenience purposes only. The Port shall not be held responsible for a Contractor’s failure to receive the email with the addenda information. It is the sole responsibility of all interested parties to diligently visit the above-listed website to see if any addenda have been issued prior to submitting their proposal to the Port. Those interested in obtaining addenda information via email for a particular RFP must send the Port its request in writing to the following email address: cengebo@portoflongview.com.

 

BUILDING ENGINEERING SYSTEMS: This RFP solicitation is issued pursuant to RCW 39.04.290 – Contracts for Building Engineering Systems.

 

Solicitation documents may be examined at the following location: Port of Longview, 10 Port Way, Longview, WA 98632

 

A non-mandatory Pre-Proposal Site Visit may be scheduled between March 9, 2020 and March 13, 2020, with 48 hours advance notice. PPE will be provided. Site visit will be held at 10 Port Way, Longview, WA 98632.

 

PRE-PROPOSAL QUESTIONS, DISCREPANCIES, AND CLARIFICATIONS: Any discrepancies, omissions, ambiguities, or conflicts in or among the Request for Proposals documents or doubts as to the meaning shall be brought to the Port’s attention by the proposer by 5:00 p.m. March 16, 2020. Questions, discrepancies, and clarifications received after this date and time may go unanswered. All questions, discrepancies, clarifications, etc. must be submitted electronically to: cengebo@portoflongview.com. During the RFP process, proposers (and their agents) are prohibited from contacting any Port offices other than the Purchasing Division to obtain responses to any questions. The Port may find a proposer non-responsive for failing to adhere to any of the above requirements.

 

The Port reserves the right to reject any or all proposals or to accept the proposal deemed to be in the best interest of the Port of Longview, and to waive irregularities or informalities in any proposal.
