CITY OF WESTPORT

PUMP STATION UPGRADES

ENGINEER’S ESTIMATE $2,395,000

Sealed Proposals will be received by the undersigned at the City of Westport, 604 North Montesano Street, Westport, Washington 98595, up to 2:00 p.m.; local time on Tuesday, May 25, 2021, for furnishing the necessary labor, materials, equipment, tools, and guarantees thereof to construct the Pump Station Upgrades.

The project will consist of upgrading four wastewater pump stations.  The work at each pump station will include revisions to the existing wet well, new submersible pumps, new valve vault, bypass pumping, and other temporary measures required for construction.  The work also includes performing all associated piping, electrical, and instrumentation work.

The Work shall be substantially complete within 180 working days after the commencement date stated in the Notice to Proceed.  All bidding and construction is to be performed in compliance with the Contract Provisions and Contract Plans for this project and any addenda issued thereto that are on file at the office of the City Clerk, City Hall, Westport, Washington.

The Proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud shortly after the time and date stated above.  Proposals are to be submitted only on the form provided with the Bid Documents.  All Proposals must be accompanied by a certified check, postal money order, cashiers check, or Proposal bond payable to the “City of Westport” and in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total Proposal amount.

A Prebid Conference is scheduled for Wednesday, May 12, 2021.  The conference will begin at the Wastewater Treatment Facility, 100 West Bay Street, Westport, Washington at 1:00 p.m. (local time) and conclude with a site tour of the pump stations.  Prospective bidders are encouraged to participate.  Any other site visits shall be limited to 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, and shall be coordinated through Jim Atkinson, of the City of Westport, by calling (360) 268-0512, at least 24 hours in advance of the visit.  No unauthorized visits or unscheduled visits will be allowed.

Financing of the Project has been provided by City of Westport, Washington and Washington State Department of Ecology, Washington State Department of Commerce Community Development Block Grant, Washington State Department of Commerce Public Works Board.  The City of Westport expressly reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals and to waive minor irregularities or informalities in any Proposal.
