CALL FOR BIDS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that sealed bids will be received until 10:00 AM, Wednesday, July 7, 2021 by the City of Battle Ground at the City of Battle Ground City Hall, 109 SW 1st Street, Suite 127, Battle Ground, Washington 98604, for the SW 3rd Street and SW 19th Ave Improvements (CP-TR-2019-05) project and other related work; then publicly opened and read aloud at the City of Battle Ground City Hall, 109 SW 1st Street, Suite 127, Battle Ground, Washington.
SCOPE OF WORK
The construction to the north side of SW 3rd Street, between SW 17th Avenue and SW 19th Avenue, will consist of construction of curb and gutter, sidewalk, and planter strip. Additionally, the roadway will be widened to current standards and LED street lights will be installed.
PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS, AND BID PROPOSAL forms will be e-mailed out to contractors on the City’s approved Small Works Roster as of Wednesday, June 23, 2021 from the City of Battle Ground Public Works - Engineering Department at 109 SW 1st Street, Suite 127, Battle Ground, WA 98604.
All bid proposals, over $100,000, shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in cash, certified check, cashier's check, or surety bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of such proposal. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish satisfactory performance bond within the time stated in the specifications, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the City of Battle Ground Transportation Fund.
The City of Battle Ground in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. §§ 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award.
This project is financed through the Community Development Block Grant Program with funds obtained from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. The contract will be subject to regulations of the Departments of Labor and Housing and Urban Development.
Attention is called to Federal provisions for Equal Employment Opportunity, HUD Section 3 requirements, and the minimum wages as set forth in the contract documents.
The contractor will be required to indemnify and hold harmless the City of Battle Ground in connection with the performance of the contract and provide for the City to be named as an additional insured on commercial general liability at least as broad as CG00 01 and auto liability policies at the required amounts as outlined in the contract.
Informational copies of maps, plans, specifications and insurance requirements are on file for inspection in the Public Works – Engineering office in Battle Ground, Washington.
