City of Kahlotus, Washington, invites Bids for the construction of the Well Rehabilitation and Water System Improvements Project - 2022. The Work for this Contract involves building, mechanical, and electrical upgrades to an existing well house, including site and fencing work, together with all other Work. Additive alternatives are included for approximately 740 linear feet of 8-inch water line, 410 feet of 6-inch water line, a fire hydrant, valves, service connections, and restoration. Additive alternatives are also included for replacing all the City's water service meters, boxes, and setters.

Sealed Bids for the described Project will be received by the City of Kahlotus, at City Hall, 130 East Weston Street, Kahlotus, Washington 99335, until 10:00 a.m., local time, January 13, 2022, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read.

The work shall be substantially complete within 120 calendar days.

This Project is being funded by a federal grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and the Washington State Community Development Block Grant Program. Because the project is being paid for by federal funds, all work will be subject to all federal and state requirements relating to the use of such funds, including the Davis Bacon Wage Rates or Washington State Prevailing Wage Rates for Public Works Projects, EEO, Washington State Contracting Laws, etc.  All work performed on this project will be subject to the higher of the state or federal wage rates.

Bid security is required and shall be furnished in accordance with the Instruction to Bidders.
