Mortenson is managing a GCCM project for Western Washington University
in Bellingham, WA for the construction of the remote parking lot. The new
parking lot will have 43 diagonal stalls, storm water control and landscaping.
The work will be in the form of a bid package as described below.

REMOTE PARKING AREA BID PACKAGES

PL-001 EARTHWORK AND UTILITIES
The Earthwork and Utilities scope of work consists of site demo and clearing of existing topsoil and mulch covering
removal of trees and shrubs at edge of parking, excavation and soil compaction and preparation for the new asphalt
paving parking lot and storm sewer system. Included in this work is also a complete erosion control system as required,
site grading, finish grading for proposed landscaping. Site utilities that are required for the proposed storm sewer
system complete, including catch basins, storm piping, storm detention system, manifolds, drainage swale, water quality
manhole, connection to existing storm drain and all removal and replacement of street paving, curb and gutter and
sidewalk complete.

PL-002 ASPHALT PAVING AND MARKINGS
The Asphalt paving and markings scope of work consists of all asphalt paving for project. This includes milling/scraping,
base course, intermediate course, tack coat, surface course, precast concrete curb stops, striping and pavement markings
and signage.

PL-003 LANDSCAPING
The landscaping scope of work consists of import and placement of topsoil, trees and ground cover and shrubs complete.
