Notice of Funding Availability

The 2023 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) is available starting October 19, 2022 for funding to be applied toward projects and programs that administer assistance for the following eligible uses:

• Housing Assistance: Residential Rehabilitation and Preservation of Single-Family Homeowner Occupied Households
• Economic Development: Microenterprise Assistance

Please read the 2023 Community Development Block Grant Funding Information Packet prior to beginning the application.

Important NOFA Deadlines

Thursday November 17, 2022, 3 PM: Deadline for applicants to request an Application Submission Folder

To make a request, send an email to cedhousingdivision@cityoftacoma.org with the subject line “2023 CED CDBG NOFA Online Application Submission Folder Request”.

Include the following information in the body of the email:

Project Name
Applicant Agency Name
Name and email address of each person who may need access to the folder

A link to an Application Submission Folder will be sent by Community and Economic Development Department staff to the email address provided by the requestor.

Workshop for Applicants

If you are planning on submitting an application for funding, you are strongly encouraged to attend our NOFA Information Workshop. City staff will host a NOFA workshop for potential applicants Wednesday October 26, 2022 from 11 AM-noon via Zoom. Staff will provide summary information about the NOFA process and an opportunity for Q and A. You can access the workshop at:
