Bid Due Date: Sealed bids for this project will be received at the Port of Edmonds Administration Office, 336 Admiral
Way, Edmonds, WA 98020 until 11:00 AM, Friday May 19, 2023. Any bids received after the specified time and date
will not be considered. Official time is read from the designated official clock at the Port of Edmonds Administration
office where the bids will be opened publicly and read aloud.
Scope of Work: The scope of work may include: promptly tow, store, protect, and release or otherwise dispose of
vehicles that are towed at the request of the Port of Edmonds, subject to the contract specifications, rates, terms, and
conditions. Contractor shall have a staff dispatch office 24 hours per day, 7 days a week, which receives requests for
vehicle impound, towing or redemptions, verifies vehicle impound information, and dispatches personnel and
equipment to the site of an impound or tow, in response to a Port request. The Port makes no guarantee of tow
requests. The unit price contract functions as an as needed basis.
Pre-Bid Meeting: A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on May 11, 2023, at 336 Admiral Way, Edmonds WA
98020 for a tour of Port facilities for familiarization. Port staff and its agents may not be available for site visits outside of
the scheduled pre-bid meeting. Attendance is not required, but highly recommended.
Work Start & Completion Dates: Work requests will be issued as needed after the contract is awarded. Work may
begin when the Port receives the signed contract, bond waiver, insurance documentation, IRS W-9. It is the Port’s
intent to establish a unit price, as needed contract for these services for a two (2) year period, with the option for one
(1) additional year via an annual offer for signature approval.
Insurance: Commercial General Liability, Business Auto, Worker’s Comp and Employer’s Liability (Stop Gap)
insurance will be required for this project.

not answer all questions received. Formal answers that are given will be posted on bxwa.com as addendums. Bidders
will be required to acknowledge these addendums, if any, on the bid form. Lack of acknowledgement of addendums
could result in an unresponsive bid due to insufficient data needed to bid properly.
Right to Reject Bids: The Port of Edmonds reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities or
informalities.
Advertisement: Bids shall be solicited from qualified contractors via advertisement in the Everett Herald, MRSC
rosters list and individual invitations.
