Delridge PF Turf Replacement & Accessibility Improvements

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

 

The project involves the replacement of outdated Synthetic Turf including remove all infilled turf field carpet and infill materials, install new pad system across the playing field surface, replace collector line along the West side with solid collector line and root, replace non-compliant concrete pathways with accessible concrete pathways, replace all dugout gates with accessible gates, replace access staircase with concrete staircase, replace existing drinking fountain with accessible drinking fountain, install new chain-link fence and swing gate.

 

  • Additive #1: Improve the Delridge Community Center hardscape entrance and ramp to Delridge Way SW.
  • Additive #2: Improvements at the Northwest corner of the playfield to provide improved access between Delridge Playfield and 26th Ave SW.
  • Additive #3: Improve the ramp at the Southeast corner of the playfield and park lot improvements.
  • Alternate #1: Install Pre-Formed Panelized System in place of Paved-in-Place Elastic Layer.

 

The project is located at 4458 Delridge Way SW Seattle, WA 98106.

 

Bids are being requested for Survey, Asphalt, Concrete, Fencing, Rockery Wall, Landscaping and all other work related to the scope of work.

 

Engineers Estimate:

  • Base Bid: $3,050,000
  • Additive 1: $225,000.00
  • Additive 2: $24,000.00
  • Additive 3: $86,000.00
  • Alternate 1: ($79,000.00)

 

RFI’s are due May 10, 2023, before noon.

 

Project Schedule: June 1st 2023 to September 1st 2023

 

Wage Determination: Prevailing Wage

 

There’s also a WMBE Aspiration Goal of 2%. All subcontractors and vendors that has a WMBE certification with the City of Seattle are encouraged to submit a quote.

STANDARD REQUIREMENTS:

By submitting a proposal, the bidder acknowledges and agrees to all of the following terms: Proposer has carefully examined ALL the bidding documents/addenda and that, from his/her own investigation, they have satisfied themselves as to the nature and location of the work. Ohno’s listing of a subcontractor is not an acceptance of any or all of that subcontractor’s conditions, qualifications, exclusions, or exceptions included in the subcontractor’s bid proposal. Ohno is relying on the price submitted in the subcontractor’s proposal as an all-inclusive price for its trade scope found in the plans and specifications regardless of qualifying language in the proposal. Inconsistent bid terms and conditions shall be void. Break outs of any portion of work is permitted as long as specifically and conspicuously called out on proposal. Any and all bids may be rejected at the sole discretion of Ohno Construction. If selected, proposer is prepared to sign a subcontract with Ohno per Ohno’s standard subcontract agreement. A copy of Ohno’s standard subcontract agreement is available at its office locations or upon written request. Ohno Construction reserves the right to request that performance and payment bonds assuring subcontractor’s obligations to Ohno in the amount of 100 percent of the bid to Ohno. Ohno will reimburse the bond premium at actual cost not to exceed 2 percent. The surety must be a Washington admitted surety. Insurance must name Ohno, the project Owner and any other parties so designated as additionally insured and be in the types and amounts required by the specifications.
