The Washington State Patrol (WSP) is responsible for the operation and support of the state message switch. The state message switch provides law enforcement and other criminal justice agencies connectivity to state, inter-state, federal and international criminal justice information. WSP is beginning the process of assessing available state message switch systems capabilities and infrastructure requirements in order to maintain technological currency of their current system, and identify promising emerging technologies and solutions. The information obtained from this RFI will inform decision making and development of a funding request to upgrade the existing state messaging system.
