Rehabilitation of South Bainbridge Island Utility Wells 1, 2 and 3 Project

Notice is hereby given that Public Utility District No. 1 of Kitsap County (KPUD) will receive sealed bid proposals for Rehabilitation of South Bainbridge Island Utility Wells 1, 2 and 3 Project on October 18, 2023, until 1:00 p.m., at KPUD’s Office located at 1431 Finn Hill Road, Poulsbo, Washington 98370, where they will be publicly opened and read aloud shortly thereafter. Bids are being asked for provision of all necessary labor, equipment and materials required to remove existing pumps and drop pipes, rehabilitate well screens using air-lift techniques, and provide and install new pumps, drop pipes and motor protection as described in the Construction Specifications and Contract Documents. Well rehabilitation, pump removal and installation shall be performed by a Washington State licensed well driller or pump installer. The project is located in the City of Bainbridge Island, Washington. The site is at KPUD’s South Bainbridge Water System Island Utility wellfield property on NE Old Mill Road (Parcel No. 342502-2-029-2008). The project lies within the SW ¼ of the NE ¼ of Section 34, Township 25 North, Range 2 East, W.M., Kitsap County, Washington. Plans and specifications are also on file at Kitsap PUD, 1431 Finn Hill Road, (P.O. Box 1989), Poulsbo, WA 98370, copies may be obtained at a non-refundable cost of $100 each between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday or by appointment. A pre-bid meeting will be held on October 5, 2023 at 11am at the project site. All work performed on this project is subject to state prevailing wage rates. Contractor must be licensed to conduct business in the State of Washington. A 5% bid guarantee is required in the form of certified or cashier’s check, or surety bond. Kitsap PUD reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive all informalities in the bidding in accordance with the specifications. Each Bid Proposal shall conform to the requirements of Section 1-02.9 of the Contract Special Provisions. Bids shall be made out on the bid form furnished with the specifications. When submitting a bid, only include the bid form, the bid guarantee, Non-Collusion certificate, Statement of Bidders Qualifications, and the., Certification of Compliance with Wage Payment Statutes, and Subcontractor Lists.
