Fixed Assets State of Good Repair Program offering Industry Outreach Open Houses
King County Metro Transit invites MBE, WBE, DBE, and SBE businesses in the A&E and Construction industries to preview consulting and construction opportunities and share comments on its upcoming $160 million multi-year Fixed Assets State of Good Repair (SGR) program located at various Metro sites in the greater Seattle area.
The SGR program focuses on the replacement and renewal of Metro system assets and includes planned improvements at transit maintenance bases and route facilities, including the trolley system. The program is currently envisioned to be comprised of two major packages. A general facilities package includes site infrastructure, systems, facilities, and equipment refurbishment and replacement primarily at operational maintenance bases and is expected to be supported via a multiyear GC/CM contract and a parallel A/E contract. The second package is envisioned to focus on electrical and infrastructure refurbishment of the trolley system, and is expected to be delivered by means of a Progressive Design Build contract. Both packages are anticipated to include a mix of King County and FTA funding.
King County will provide an overview of these packages and requests feedback on the proposed packaging, delivery methods, contract opportunities, market capacity, and opportunities to enhance MBE, WBE, DBE, and SBE participation for each contract. King County welcomes discussion during the meeting and inquiries from potentially interested providers. A formal Request For Information and feedback will follow through the E-procurement system in the near future.
