LBA Park Field 2 Renovations

Project No. 2126H

Sealed bids for the above project will be received from Contractors by the City of Olympia through the drop-box labeled “Bid & Proposal Drop Box” at Olympia City Hall located at 601 4th Ave E, Olympia, Washington 98501.

The drop box will be opened for submittals at 10:00 AM, November 27, 2023.

The drop-box submittal deadline is 10:00 AM, November 29, 2023, at which time the drop-box will be locked and sealed bids held until the bid open.

The sealed bids will be publicly opened and read at 10:00 AM, November 29, 2023, in the Olympia City Hall lobby.

The City will only open and consider bid proposals received through the drop-box labeled “Bid & Proposal Drop Box” or by mail as described below. Do not deliver sealed bids to City of Olympia staff.

In addition to placing sealed bids in the bid and proposal drop-box, Contractors may choose to mail in bids instead. Mail bids to the following address:

It is the responsibility of the Contractor to ensure that mailed bids are received by 12:00 PM, November 28, 2023. Bids must be received early enough to ensure it is processed through the City’s mail service in time. Any bids received after the bid submittal deadline of 10:00 AM, November 29, 2023 will not be accepted.

Contract Documents and planholder’s list can be viewed, purchased, or downloaded on the Builders Exchange website at www.bxwa.com after November 13, 2023.

You may also obtain project plans and specifications for City of Olympia projects via public records request. Please visit our Public Records webpage (http://olympiawa.gov/city-government/public-records-requests). Public records fees apply. Please note: If you obtain project plans and specifications through any process other than through registration on Builder’s Exchange, you will NOT be added to the list of bidders who receive bid packet addenda and other information sent to those who register as bidders.

This project provides for demolition of the existing Field 2 backstop, dugout, hardscaping, irrigation, and removal of trees around the field’s perimeter. A new 30-foot tall backstop system, dugouts, benches, and hardscaping will be installed. The existing baseball field will be stripped and regraded. A new Field 2 irrigation system will be installed, all in accordance with the Contract Documents. The Engineer’s Probable Opinion of Cost is $581,593.

This project does not have Federal Aid funding.

Although not mandatory, all prospective bidders are encouraged to attend the pre-bid meeting on Thursday, November 21, 2023 at 10 AM, located at LBA Park, 3333 Morse-Merryman Rd SE, Olympia, Washington.

All bids must be submitted on the forms furnished for that purpose, and each proposal must be accompanied by bid bond, or certified check made payable to the City of Olympia, in an amount of not less than five percent of the total bid amount.

The City of Olympia reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive minor irregularities in the bidding process.
