City of Bremerton Eastside Manganese Treatment Facility Request for Proposal

The City of Bremerton is requesting proposals from qualified firms interested in providing engineering design and construction support services for a manganese treatment facility for two groundwater wells. Eastside wells 13 and 14 produce water containing total manganese levels between 0.64 and 0.79 mg/l, which exceeds the Secondary Maximum Contaminant Level of 0.05 mg/L and the City’s total manganese goal of less than 0.015 mg/l, resulting in cumulative deposits in the distribution system that can cause aesthetic or public health concerns. The purpose of this project is to design and construct a treatment facility that produces water in compliance with the City’s water quality goals.
