17B-2024 Aquatic Invasive Species Detection Rapid Response Plan-RFP
Notice is hereby given that the City of Bellingham is seeking a consultant to create a Rapid Response Plan (referred to as Plan hereafter) specifically for Lake Whatcom and greater Whatcom County that mirrors and dovetails with the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife’s updated Dreissenid response plan (2024) with input from WDFW’s updated draft protocols . The plan should modify WDFW’s protocol and verbiage, adapting them to a site-specific response for a positive invasive mussel detection in Lake Whatcom. The specific rapid response actions must account for sensitivities relating to a drinking water reservoir.

The City requests that an electronic copy of each proposal must be received by 11:00 a.m., Pacific time on June 26th, 2024. The proposal can be submitted on line at: https://cob.procureware.com/ under the responses tab for this RFP. Alternatively, you may still mail in one (1) hard copy of the proposal to: The Purchasing Office, 210 Lottie Street, Bellingham WA 98225 must receive sealed proposals no later than 11:00 AM on June 26, 2024. The sealed proposals will be opened and read after the 11:00 AM deadline. The City reserves the right to postpone making the award for a reasonable length of time, to reject all proposals or parts of proposals as may be in the best interest of the City.
