208573 Seismic Improvements Phase 5 - GC/CM Request For Proposals

General: The University of Washington (University or UW) is soliciting Proposals from qualified firms to provide general contractor/construction management (GC/CM) for the 208573 Seismic Improvements Phase 5 project.

Project Description: This project will include improvements to seismic preparedness in unreinforced masonry (URM) buildings on the Seattle campus. Includes improvements to seismic preparedness in unreinforced masonry (URM) buildings at Suzzallo Library, Hec Edmundson Pavilion and the Art Building on the University of Washington Seattle Campus. The scope of work will include reinforcing URM bearing and non-bearing walls and reinforcing parapets, architectural façade features and cladding to reduce the risk of collapse of buildings and masonry falling from buildings. The work will be conducted in a phased approach, Phase A – Suzzallo Library; Phase B – Hec Edmundson Pavilion; Phase C – Art Building. Phase A will occur during the 2025- 2027 biennium, and Phases B and C will occur during the 2027- 2029 biennium. Phase A scope will also include targeted façade restoration work such as repointing, additional façade pinning, masonry replacement, etc. in priority areas such as those with life safety.
