Bids for construction of the Project will be received by the Owner via electronic submission only, until 1:30 PM, June 19, 2024, local time. Obtaining the Bidding Documents

The BIDDING DOCUMENTS may be examined at the Issuing Office:

1. Varela Engineering & Management, 601 W. Mallon Ave., Suite A, Spokane, WA 99201
2. Visit www.varelaplanroom.com under “Public Jobs”. Prospective bidders may view digital files at no cost.

To Bid the project, Bidder shall download a full set of the BIDDING DOCUMENTS from www.varelaplanroom.com under “Public Jobs” and shall be on the Plan Holders List. Bids shall be submitted electronically via the Varela Plan Room website and in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Additional bid acceptance and contract award provisions are specified in the Contract Documents.

A bid summary will be issued after opening, emailed to all bidders, and posted on the website.

This project will provide street facility improvements of an existing roadway including but not limited to the following:

• Removal of approximately 2500 SY of asphalt pavement
• Pulverizing in place approximately 3,200 SY of asphalt pavement
• Installation of approximately 1,400 Tons of CSTC
• Installation of approximately 1,550 Tons of HMA pavement
• Installation of approximately 550 LF of new cement concrete curb
• Installation of 6 catch basins
• Installation of 2 double barrel drywells; 1 single barrel drywell
• Installation of approximately 800 LF of storm sewer pipe
• Stormwater treatment swale/pond

All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in cash, certified check, cashier’s check, or surety bond in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid proposal. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish satisfactory performance bond within the time stated in the specifications, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the Town of Winthrop.
