Project Description
The work to be performed by the CONSULTANT consists of collection and analysis of geotechnical data, completion of a topographic and right of way survey, environmental permitting, right of way appraisal and negotiation, drainage report and analysis of stormwater quality requirements, design and construction support of a three-leg roundabout for improvements to N East Camano Drive and McElroy Drive, located on Camano Island in Island County, Washington.
This project phase one includes the west exit driveway at 370 N East Camano Drive. The general scope of work includes This project has a twelve percent (12%) DBE goal. The major features of the project are as follows:
- Design of a new three-leg Roundabout at the intersection of N East Camano Drive and McElroy Drive and the exit of Camano Plaza onto N. East Camano Drive.
- Preparation of a Drainage Report and analysis of Stormwater Quality Requirements.
- Meet the requirements of the Washington State Department of Ecology (DOE) as it relates to Storm Quality.
- Prepare a Drainage Report Justifying Design Choices.
- Preparation of a Geotechnical Engineering Report:
- Subsurface soils investigation.
- Engineering Analysis and Recommendations.
- Preparation of a Full Topographic Survey and Existing Conditions for Plan Development:
- Right-of-way (ROW) survey, existing and proposed.
- Legal Descriptions and Exhibit Maps for New Right-of-Way Acquisitions and Temporary Construction Easements.
- Preparation of a Geotechnical Engineering Report:
- Preparation of a Right of Way Plan.
- Property Appraisal and negotiation for new Right of Way and Temporary Construction Easements.
- All environmental work and reporting necessary to meet permitting requirements set by Island County Planning, WDFW, WDOE, NEPA, and the US Army Corps of Engineers, including assessment, mitigation, and monitoring.
- Coordination regarding all utility related issues, if any.
- Develop roundabout project concepts to facilitate public input, and coordinate with the public, stakeholders, and Island County for Public Meetings.
- Development of full plan sets, stamped by an Engineer, meeting the requirements of Island County, LAG manual, and applicable state and federal regulations
- Development of project specific special provisions in the format of WSDOT’s standard specifications, and meeting the requirements of Island County, LAG Manual, and applicable state and federal regulations.
