Port of Edmonds Request for Bids Fuel Dock Supply Line Replacement | Project 2024-501
 

Bid Due Date:  Sealed bids for this project will be received at the Port of Edmonds Administration Office, 471 Admiral Way, Edmonds, WA  98020 until 2:00 PM, Wednesday, September 4, 2024 official Port time.  Bids may be emailed to fuelrepair@portofedmonds.gov,  but the sender has the burden to confirm it was received on time. Any bids received after the specified time and date will not be considered.  Official time is read from the designated official clock at the Port of Edmonds Administration office where the bids will be opened publicly and read aloud.

 

Scope of Work:  The scope of work includes providing labor, materials and equipment necessary to: replace the existing deteriorated fuel supply lines, which includes the rubber hose from the bulkhead gangway to the dock and 3 feet of existing 2 inch galvanized steel internal piping to the valve box with like and kind that meets all current and currently-known future Washington State and Federal regulations. The parts must be ethanol compatible, and appropriate for a saltwater environment. There will be no change to the existing galvanized pipe mounted under the gangway. The fuel dock is located at 458 Admiral Way, Edmonds, WA  98020.

 

Pre-Bid Meeting:  A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on August 26, 2024, at 458 Admiral Way, Port of Edmonds Fuel Dock.  Port staff and its agents may not be available for site visits outside of the scheduled pre-bid meeting. It is strongly encouraged prospective bidders attend the walkthrough pre-bid meeting, this time is to take measurements and speak to staff.

 

Work Start & Completion Dates:  Work shall be substantially complete by November 30, 2024.  Work may begin when the Port receives the signed contract, performance bond, payment bond, insurance documentation, IRS W-9, and list of any subcontractors. 

 

Prevailing Wages:  Payment of prevailing wages is required for this project. Filings of statement of intent, and affidavit of wages paid online with LNI will be required.

 

Bid Guarantee and Performance & Payment Bonds:  None required.

 

Insurance:  Commercial General Liability, Business Auto, Worker’s Comp, and Employer’s Liability (Stop Gap) insurance coverage will be required for this project, in addition to USL& H longshoreman’s insurance coverage.

Right to Reject Bids:  The Port of Edmonds reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities or informalities.

 

Advertisement:  Bids shall be solicited from qualified Contractors and General Contractors on the Port of Edmonds’ MRSC Small Works Roster and advertised in the Everett Herald and posted with OWBME.wa.gov
