LIFT STATIONS 3 AND 4 UPGRADES
ENGINEER’S ESTIMATE $875,000
Sealed Proposals will be received by the undersigned at the City of Long Beach, 115 Bolstad Avenue West, Long Beach, Washington 98631, up to 2:00 p.m.; local time on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, for furnishing the necessary labor, materials, equipment, tools, and guarantees thereof to construct the Lift Stations 3 and 4 Upgrades.
The project will consist of improvements to two sewer lift stations in the City of Long Beach, Lift Stations 3 and 4. The improvements to the lift stations will include demolition and waste hauling of existing equipment, rehabilitation and recoating of the existing wet well, and the installation of new Owner-furnished submersible pumps and controls. Additional improvements will include the construction of a new wet well lid and hatch, new force mains from the wet well to the discharge manholes, and new pump disconnect electrical seal-off vaults. The influent sewer line to each lift station wet well will be replaced. The electrical and control panels will be modified to accommodate new equipment and HMI screens. Funding for this project is provided by the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG).
The Work shall be physically complete within 180 working days after the commencement date stated in the Notice to Proceed. All bidding and construction is to be performed in compliance with the Contract Provisions and Contract Plans for this project and any addenda issued thereto that are on file at the office of the City Clerk, City Hall, Long Beach, Washington.
The Proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud shortly after the time and date stated above. Proposals are to be submitted only on the form provided with the Bid Documents. All Proposals must be accompanied by a certified check, postal money order, cashiers check, or Proposal bond payable to the “City of Long Beach” and in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total Proposal amount.

A Prebid Conference is scheduled for Tuesday, September 10, 2024. The conference will begin at the 115 Bolstad Avenue West, Long Beach, WA, Washington at 11:00 a.m. (local time). Prospective bidders are encouraged to participate. Any additional site visits shall be limited to 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, and shall be coordinated through John Goulter, of the City of Long Beach, by calling 360-642-3129, at least 24 hours in advance of the visit. No unauthorized visits or unscheduled visits will be allowed.
