Notice is hereby given that sealed bids for the Blaine Harbor M-Dock Extension located in Blaine, Washington will be received at the Administrative Offices of the Port of Bellingham, 1801 Roeder Avenue, Bellingham, Washington until 2:00 p.m., Thursday, November 21, 2024. The official time shall be taken from the designated clock at the Administrative Offices. Any bids received after the specified time and date will not be considered. Bids will then be publicly opened and read aloud. Contract Documents are available on the Port of Bellingham’s website at https://www.portofbellingham.com/bids.aspx.

The scope of work for this project consists of furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for the project identified above including the following major work items:

♦ Removal of eighteen (18) existing creosote timber piles (12 guide piles, 6 batter piles)

♦ Removal of one (1) concrete guide pile

♦ Removal of approximately nine thousand, two hundred and ten (9,210) square feet of a boathouse (timber docks, timber support structure, metal sheet panel roof)

♦ Removal of approximately one hundred and fifty (150) square feet of a concrete floating dock

♦ Installation of twelve (12) steel pipe piles as anchors for the new floating docks and to support the adjacent concrete main headwalk.

♦ Installation of new floating docks and associated utilities. Note that the fabrication of the floating docks will be completed by others.

A non-mandatory pre-bid conference for prospective bidders will be held Tuesday, November 12 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at the Blaine Boater Harbor Building located at 235 Marine Drive, Blaine, Washington 98230. A site visit will follow.

Engineers estimate: $1,150,000 to $1,380,000.

Each bid must be accompanied by a cashier's check, money order, or an original signed and stamped surety bid bond in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid, made payable to the Port of Bellingham.

Any and all questions related to this project must be submitted via email prior to 5:00 PM, local time, on Thursday, November 14, 2024. No questions will be accepted after that time.

The Port of Bellingham reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities or informalities.
