Call for Bids - Sterling Pines Renovations

The Housing Authority of Thurston County (HATC) is receiving sealed bids for the Renovation of a 21 unit apartment building (5895 Capitol Blvd) and a triplex (111 SW West “T” Street E) in Tumwater, Washington. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to the interior renovation of 24 units, overlaying new siding over existing siding, replace storm drain system, and landscaping. Cost estimate range: $3,200,000 to $3,500,000.

Bids will be received at the HATC’s office at 1206 12th Ave SE, Olympia, Washington, until 3:00 PM, Pacific (Local) Time, on Wednesday, January 15, 2025. The bids will then and there be publicly opened and read aloud. Bid Proposals received after the day and time stated above will not be considered. Contract will be awarded, or rejected, within 45 days of the bid opening. shall be delivered to the HATC in person or by mail. The HATC does not pre-qualify bidders. An investigation of the apparent low bidder will be conducted to determine the financial responsibility and capability of the bidder to perform the work. A pre-bid conference is scheduled for Thursday, December 19, 2024 at 10:00 am at 5895 Capitol Blvd S Tumwater, Wa. All interested bidders are strongly encouraged to attend. Free-of-charge access to Project Re-Bid Documents (plans, specifications, addenda, and Bidders List) is provided to Prime Bidders, Subcontractors, and Vendors by going to www.bxwa.com and clicking on "Posted Projects", "Public Works", and, under "Public Agencies", click on "Housing Authority of Thurston County". This online plan room provides Bidders with fully usable online documents with the ability to: download, view, print, order full/partial plan sets from numerous reprographic sources, and a free online digitizer/take-off tool. It is recommended that Bidders “Register” in order to receive automatic e-mail notification of future addenda and to place themselves on the “Self-Registered Bidders List". Bidders that do not register will not be automatically notified of addenda and will need to periodically check the on-line plan room for addenda issued on this project. A Bid Security, in the form of a Cashier’s Check or Surety Bond, shall accompany each Bid in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the combined Base Bid and all alternates, and made payable to the Housing Authority of Thurston County. This contract is subject to Washington State Prevailing Wage. The HATC reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, and in particular, to reject a Bid not accompanied by the required Bid Security or data required by the Bidding Documents, or a bid in any way late, incomplete or irregular.
