Town of Latah Water System Electrical Improvements

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town of Latah will open sealed bid proposals and publicly read them aloud on or after 11:00 AM on February 7th, 2025, at City Hall in Latah for the Water System Electrical Improvements Project.

The project consists of work at both of the Town’s municipal water supply wells. Improvements at Well No. 1 generally include replacing overloads in the pump’s control panel, grounding the SCADA antenna, installation of a well level transducer in existing conduit, replacing cable between the existing flow transmitter and the head unit, and associated SCADA integration. Improvements at Well No. 2 generally include installing a new pitless unit seal, installation of a backup generator and automatic transfer switch, relocating the flow meter transmitter from a vault to the well control panel, placement of the existing radio antenna cable in conduit from the antenna to the SCADA panel, replacing the corrugated metal electrical rack cover, and associated SCADA integration. This description is not exhaustive, and bidders are referred to the plans and specifications.

SEALED BID PROPOSALS MUST BE DELIVERED BEFORE 11:00 A.M. Sealed proposals must be delivered to the Town of Latah, 108 E. Market Street, Latah, WA 99018 (Mailing address P.O. Box 130, Latah, WA 99018) by the date and time specified for opening, in a sealed envelope clearly marked “SEALED BID FOR TOWN OF LATAH WATER SYSTEM ELECTRICAL IMPROVEMENTS”. In-person acceptance of delivered bids will be available at Town Hall during business hours from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday and Friday. The door to Town Hall may be locked. If the door is locked, bidders should knock on the door when they are standing at the entrance to Town Hall and a Town staff person will come to the door and will receive the sealed bid. Deliveries to Latah Town Hall from the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) are typically delivered in the mid-afternoon, but no guarantee is made. If the bid is sent via USPS, it should be delivered prior to the bid opening day to assure arrival on time. Deliveries can be made at the delivery slot north of the entry door to Town Hall. Rejection of Bids: The Town of Latah shall have the right to reject any or all bids not accompanied by bid security or data required by the bidding document or a bid in any way incomplete or irregular. The Town of Latah reserves the right to waive any irregularities in bids. The Town of Latah shall have the right to reject all bids and not award the Work to any bidder.
