Boise Spring Transmission Main Project Ph 1
Sealed Proposals will be received by the undersigned at the City of Enumclaw, Public Works Department, 1309 Myrtle Avenue, Enumclaw, Washington 98022, up to 11:00 a.m.; local time on Tuesday, April 15, 2024, for furnishing the necessary labor, materials, equipment, tools, and guarantees thereof to construct the Boise Spring Transmission Main Phase 1.
This Contract provides for the installation of approximately 1,800 feet of 12-inch DI water main from the City’s water system at the east end of the City’s Sportsman Park, along the north side of SR 410 to a point of connection at the City’s Boise Spring Chlorination Station. Approximately 500 feet of asbestos cement main and 400 feet of cast iron main must be removed to accommodate the new main. In addition, the project includes about 185 feet of 2-inch water main replacement along with valves, a temporary chlorine dosing system, and other appurtenances. This project will require that all lane closures shall be limited to Sunday-Thursday, 8:00 p.m. through 5:00 a.m. In addition, work involving removing any of the existing main cannot begin until the City completes a planned shutdown of the transmission main on September 8, 2025, at which time contract time will start. Other work may be completed prior to the shutdown in accordance with Special Provision 1-08.4.
The Work shall be substantially complete within 40 working days and physically complete within 60 working days after the commencement date stated in the Notice to Proceed. All bidding and construction is to be performed in compliance with the Contract Provisions and Contract Plans for this project and any addenda issued thereto.
The Proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud shortly after the time and date stated above. Proposals are to be submitted only on the form provided with the Bid Documents. All Proposals must be accompanied by a certified check, postal money order, cashiers check, or Proposal bond payable to the “City of Enumclaw” and in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total Proposal amount.

Bidders must “Register” in order to receive automatic e-mail notification of future addenda and to place themselves on the “Self-Registered Bidders List". Bidders that do not register will not be automatically notified of addenda. No response will be made to questions unless they are submitted in writing.
Financing of the Project has been provided by City of Enumclaw, Washington. The City of Enumclaw expressly reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals and to waive minor irregularities or informalities in any Proposal.
