Okanogan County Fairgrounds Well Project

CALL FOR BIDS

 

OKANOGAN COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS WELL PROJECT

 

Okanogan County is soliciting sealed bids from interested licensed Contractors for the construction of a groundwater and electrical piping to provide water and power for the on-site well # 4 on the Okanogan County Fairgrounds.

Sealed bids will be received by the Okanogan Board of County Commissioners at 123 5th Ave. N. Suite 150, Okanogan, Washington until 3:45 P.M. Monday, May 12, 2025. The bids received will then be opened and publicly read: at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at the commissioners hearing Room.

The Okanogan County Fairgrounds Well Project consists of a ditch from the Annex to the vault, and the vault to the new well site, approx. 621’ to 650’of ditch, 4’ deep. Install 4” schedule 40 PVC water line and 3” electrical conduit. Water line and electrical conduit must be bedding 3” of bedding sand under the pipe and 3” above the pipe and conduit. Ditching must be 100% compacted on back fill. Any asphalt removed must be replaced across any driveways or roads. A 2” PVC sleeve pipe must be installed for the 1” water line across the driveway and to the office, a 6” sleeve pipe across the service gate driveway, and the track. An 18” tile w/lid to be install with a back flow valve and shut off valve to the office at the corner across from the office, back flow valve and shut off must be installed in the vault for the 4” water line. All fittings and supplies must be supplied by the contractor. Water line must be connected to the well and connected into the existing lines in the vault. The electrical part of the bid isn’t part of the contract. 

Project start time will follow the signing of the contract between the County and the Contractor. Project must be completed by No Later Than May 28, 2025

Site map, plans, and specifications may be obtained from the Okanogan County Fairgrounds office, 175 Rodeo Trail Rd Okanogan WA 98840. Please contact Fairgrounds Manager Nick Bates at 509-422-1621 or nbates@co.okanogan.wa.us. A tour of the project site will be conducted on May 8, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. and/or May 9, 2025 @ 2:00 p. m. Any interested parties may attend.

This will be a Prevailing Wage Job.

 

Performance Bond/Retainage.

Pursuant to RCW 39.08.010, for contracts above $5000, the contractor shall provide the County a payment and performance bond for the full amount to be in effect until 60 days after the date of final acceptance, or until receipts of all necessary release from the State Department of Revenue and the State Department of Employment Securities, and until settlement of any liens filed under Chapter 60.28 RCW, whichever is later.

 

Contracts $150,00 or less:

Pursuant to RCW 39.08.010(3) at the option of the contractor, the County may, in lieu of a payment and performance bond, retain ten percent (10%) of the contract amount for a period of thirty days after date of final acceptance, or until of all necessary release from the Department of Revenue, the Department of Employment Security, the Department of Labor & Industries, and settlement of any liens, whichever is later.

 

All bids shall be marked “SEALED BID FOR FAIRGROUNDS WELL PROJECT on the outside of the envelope.
