NAACP Spokane Seeks Executive Director
-
NAACP Spokane is seeking to contract with its first-ever paid Executive Director to support and expand the chapter’s mission of advancing civil rights and social justice in the Spokane community. As we transition from an all-volunteer organization, we would benefit from a well-organized and self-directed leader who thrives on creating structures that make it easier for volunteers and members to join our work. The Executive Director will work closely with the Executive Committee made up of volunteers who govern the branch and chair the NAACP’s committees.
We have received a generous grant, which will comfortably fund 3 years of the ED position. We want to be transparent that in that time we will need to be working towards a sustainability plan for funding the position into the future. We also have the funds to contract with additional support personnel. Our intent is to contract with the ED first so they can have input on what type of staffing support and skills will best match their needs.
You can respond to the RFQ and address the full scope - Executive Director and administrative support or simply for the role. We welcome applications from individuals and consulting firms. The expected duration of the term is three years with the possibility of extending out the timeframe

Compensation
The contract budget is anticipated to support a 25–30 hour/week engagement for three years. Proposals should reflect realistic hourly rates within this framework. We encourage you to apply. NAACP is an equal opportunity employer and invites applications from diverse community members.
