City of Tacoma OMWBE Active Certification Class (Hybrid)

As part of its ongoing work to address disparities for historically underutilized businesses owned by minority, women, and socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, the City of Tacoma’s Equity in Contracting (EIC) Program is partnering with the WA State Office of Minority & Women’s Business Enterprises (OMWBE) to host a hybrid workshop, OMWBE Active Certification Class. In person attendance is strongly encouraged.

The purpose of this class is to have participants complete the application process with the intention to submit by the end of class. Participants will have an opportunity to work with Resie Rogers, Certification Analyst with OWMBE.

It is ideal to start the application before class and come prepared to ask questions that may be hindering the completion of your application. Those wanting to become a certified business are encouraged to bring the following items:

  • Laptop/electronic device
  • Financial statements and paperwork required for the certification process
