Foundations for Success: Session 20

Project Labor Agreements (PLA) and Community Workforce Agreements (CWA)

This session breaks down the specific wage, benefit, and hiring requirements of PLAs and CWAs for both union and merit shop contractors. Participants will learn how to accurately estimate costs, review labor terms, and maintain compliance on these regulated public works projects.

Developing Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) for Design and Construction

This hands-on workshop guides participants through creating a capability statement and completing the AIA A305 Contractor Qualification Statement. Attendees will leave with completed, evaluator-ready qualification documents to immediately use when pursuing public contracts.

Foundations for Success is a structured training program designed to strengthen the core capabilities businesses need to compete and perform in public contracting. Participants will gain working knowledge in areas such as technology, marketing, contract compliance, change management, supply chain and operational discipline. The program is designed to strengthen internal processes, improve financial and administrative readiness, and reduce performance risk.
