The project includes, but is not limited to:
The Playground Surfacing shall be a 2-layer system of comprised of rubber crumb, chips, rubber buffing, pebbles, or any combination with a polymer or polyurethane binder. Any surfaces greater than 2,000 square feet or having distinctive changes in color shall be installed with a seam. The product shall meet or exceed a coefficient of permeability of seven (7) feet per minute. Playground safety surfacing shall maintain required impact attenuation characteristics and be guaranteed against defects in workmanship and materials for a period of no less than five years from date of acceptance.
Each bid must be submitted on the prescribed forms and accompanied by a certified check or bid bond, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the bid amount. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond and payment bond, each in the full amount of the contract price.
This project is funded in whole or in part with CDBG funds. Prevailing Wage Rates, including Davis Bacon, and all other applicable federal regulations shall be in force and effect.
