INVITATION TO BID - Request for Certified DBE Subcontractors & Suppliers

Project:  Center City Connector Streetcar (FTA), PW #2017-105, Seattle, WA

Bid Due Date:  March 7, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. - EXTENDED TO MARCH 14th.

DBE Goal – 8.3%

Request for quotes from certified DBEs for the following, but not limited to, scopes of work: ADA Ramps, Aggregate Supply, Asphalt Paving, Bollards, Bronze Inlay Signs, Bus Wheel Guides, Cast Iron Guideway Delineator Units, Clay Fire Brick Mortar Pavers, Clearing and Grubbing, Cobblestone Cast Bronze Pavers, Cold Plane AC, Colored Cement Concrete Treatment, Concrete Coring, Concrete Curb & Gutter, Concrete Grinding, Construction Area Signs, Demolition, Detectable Warning Plates, Drainage Structures, Electrical, Geotextile Supply, Granite Guideway Delineator, Granite Median Curb, Granite Pavers, Hazardous Material Abatement and Removal, Landscaping, Median Cobble, OCS, Overhead Signs, Permeable Interlocking Concrete Pavers, Pipe Supply, Platform Edge Plates, Potholing, Pozzolans Supply, Precast Concrete Panel Vault, Quarry Spalls, Railroad Signaling and Controls, Railroad Trackwork, Roadside Signs, Sidewalk Concrete Overlay, Station Railing, Station Shelters, Stone Veneer Wall, Striping, Survey, Traffic Control, Well Decommissioning, Wheel Stops.

Bidding documents are available for download, at no cost, from SDOT’s eBid Exchange website at the following link: https://www.ebidexchange.com/seattle (registration required).  Access to bidding documents is also available from Flatiron and additionally, are available to view at our Renton, WA office.  Please send an email request to WABids@flatironcorp.com to request access to the documents or to make an appointment to view the documents at our office.

Assistance in obtaining bonding, lines of credit, insurance, necessary equipment, supplies and materials or related assistance or services is available upon request.  Flatiron analyzes and considers each DBE quote, including those that are broken down into economically feasible units to facilitate bidding.   Quotations must be valid for same duration as specified by Owner for contract award. 

Bond Requirements:  Notwithstanding any contrary language in a bid to Flatiron or any prior course of dealing between Flatiron and a bidder, and unless waived in writing by Flatiron, Flatiron reserves the right to require each bidder to provide payment and performance bonds assuring bidder’s obligations to Flatiron in the amount of 100 percent of the bid to Flatiron. Flatiron will reimburse the bond premium at actual cost not to exceed 3%.

Non-DBE Subs/Suppliers: Indicate lower-tier DBE participation offered on your quotation as it will be evaluated with your price.
