ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the City of Entiat, until 11:00 a.m. on March 1, 2018 for the Lakeshore Drive Overlay and Trail Extension, TIB No: 6-E-849(006)-1.  Bid proposals will be received by the Clerk at the City of Entiat, Town Hall, 14070 Kinzel Street and will then and there be opened, read, and tabulated publicly.  Order of magnitude is approximately $200,000.00. Proposals received after the time fixed for opening will not be considered.

The major items of work on the project shall include, but not be limited to the the construction of Lakeshore Drive overlay and extension of a pedestrian trail including clearing and grubbing, roadway excavation, subgrade preparation, crushed surfacing, crack sealing, HMA paving, irrigation adjustments and other features.  All in accordance with the contract plans, the special provisions, and the WSDOT/APWA Standard Specifications.

Time for completion of the work is limited to twenty (20) working days.  The Notice to Proceed date for this project will be a mutually agreed date between the City of Entiat and the Contractor.

An informational copy of the contract documents are available at the Erlandsen offices in East Wenatchee. Copies of the contract documents may be examined at the following locations:  Wenatchee Plan Center, Yakima Plan Center or the Spokane Plan Center.

Each bid proposal shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in cash, certified check, cashier's check, or surety bond in an amount equal to at least 5 percent of the amount of the bid proposal.  Checks shall be made payable to the City of Entiat.  Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish satisfactory performance and payment bond within the time stated in the specifications, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the City of Entiat.  The City of Entiat reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive irregularities in the bid or in the bidding.

No bidder may withdraw his proposal after the hours set for the opening thereof, or before award of contract, unless said award is delayed for a period exceeding forty-five (45) days.
