Well Improvement Project

INVITATION TO BID

The Town of Northport is requesting bids for the construction of a well improvement project. Bids will be received at the Town of Northport, 315 Summit Ave., P.O. Box 177, Northport, WA 99157, until May 10, 2018 at 2:00 pm. Bids will be opened and read aloud publicly immediately following the close of bid receipt. No late or faxed bids will be accepted.

A pre-bid conference will be held at 1:00 pm, on May 2, 2018, at the Town of Northport, 315 Summit Ave., P.O. Box 177, Northport, WA 99157.

This project includes the construction of an ten-inch well with associated pump, piping, valves, electrical, new well house building, telemetry, security fencing, and testing. Approximate project cost - $450,000.

Bid must be submitted on the forms provided with the Contract Documents. A 5% bid bond will be required. 100% performance and payment bonds will be required from the successful contractor. This project is funded through the Washington State Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program with federal funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, as administered through the Washington State Department of Commerce, and is subject to all applicable federal and state laws and regulations.

All work performed on this project will be subject to the higher of the prevailing state or federal wage rates.

The Town of Northport reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive technicalities, and in its sole judgment, accept the bid which it deems is in its best interest.
