The WMD is seeking bus transportation services, with a driver, for service members for various events throughout the year from designated pick-up locations within Washington to various sites across the state. Typically, the designated pick-up locations will be Camp Murray in Pierce County or Fairchild Air Force Base in Spokane County, but can vary depending on the event. Bus transportation services are also needed from drop-off sites back to the designated pick-up areas. Sites vary and the pick-up and drop-off locations often will be in different regions within the state.
The need for services is usually greater during wildland fire season, which typically runs from Mid-July to Mid-September.
Due to the unpredictable nature of events, like wildland fires, the WMD will need bus transportation services on short notice and outside standard business hours. This will be an on-call service with no set drop-off / pick-up dates or times.
