The Pierce County Community Development Corporation (CDC) is looking for General Contractors that are eligible to bid on CDC funded homeowner rehabilitation projects.

The CDC homeowner rehabilitation program provides loans to eligible homeowners in Pierce County, outside Tacoma, Lakewood, and Bonney Lake city limits for extensive repairs to their single-family homes and replacement for their sub-standard manufactured homes.

All construction work on these homes must be done in accordance with all state and local codes and ordinances. All construction work must also be done in accordance with the work specification and written rehabilitation standards provided by the CDC. The homeowners receiving the loans will have the choice of contractor provided the selected bid meets all CDC requirements, and is reasonable based on the cost estimates.

If your company is interested in participating in this program, application forms are available at 1305 Tacoma Avenue, #104, Tacoma, WA 98402. For more information, call 798-6935. Applications are also available on our website – http://www.piercecountywa.org/hs. Go to the link for Housing Assistance and Program, and then to Homeowner Rehabilitation loan program.

All contractors must be licensed, bonded, and insured in Washington State. Contractors must register with SAM.gov and obtain a DUNS and Cage code and not debarred by the federal Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
