PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

This project is a renovation of approximately 6,000 SF of the existing DuPen Fountain into an interactive spray plaza and the project is located at 159 Republican St. Seattle WA 98109 (Located at Seattle Center between Northwest Rooms and Climate Pledge Arena) The work includes but is not limited to select demolition, grading and erosion control, splash pad element installation, concrete, updates to associated mechanical equipment, electrical equipment, landscaping and fixtures to include stone boulder elements.

• Bid Additive #1: Provide and install linear up-lighting and conduit for future wall mounted lighting.
• Bid Additive #2: Provide and install trees and landscape up-lighting.
• Bid Additive #3: Provide and install landscaping and irrigation, excluding the trees and landscape up-lighting.
• Bid Additive #4: Provide and install small and medium sized stone seating.
• Bid Additive #5: Re-establish the DuPen Fountain of Creation sculptures, which includes preparation and installation onto the designated stone bases

Engineers Estimate: 
Base Bid $ 923,000.00 not including tax
Additive #1: $ 40,451.00 not including tax
Additive #2: $ 26,587.00 not including tax
Additive #3: $ 34,826.00 not including tax
Additive #4 $ 59,644.00 not including tax
Additive #5 $ 44,323.00 not including tax

Prebid is Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at 9:30 AM.

For wage determination please use Prevailing Wage.

Subcontractors and Suppliers who are WMBE Certified are encouraged to submit a quote on this project.

Schedule of Work:
•    Exterior Improvements to be substantially complete by May 13, 2022
•    Fountain Mechanical Room Improvements to be substantially complete within 30 working days after May 13, 2022
•    Physical Completion to be within 10 working days after substantial completion.

RFI Due Date is January 25, 2022 by noon. 

BID DUE DATE & TIME:  Tuesday, February 01 at end of day

STANDARD REQUIREMENTS:
By submitting a proposal, the bidder acknowledges and agrees to all of the following terms: Proposer has carefully examined ALL the bidding documents/addenda and that, from his/her own investigation, they have satisfied themselves as to the nature and location of the work. Ohno’s listing of a subcontractor is not an acceptance of any or all of that subcontractor’s conditions, qualifications, exclusions, or exceptions included in the subcontractor’s bid proposal. Ohno is relying on the price submitted in the subcontractor’s proposal as an all-inclusive price for its trade scope found in the plans and specifications regardless of qualifying language in the proposal. Inconsistent bid terms and conditions shall be void. Break outs of any portion of work is permitted as long as specifically and conspicuously called out on proposal. Any and all bids may be rejected at the sole discretion of Ohno Construction. If selected, proposer is prepared to sign a subcontract with Ohno per Ohno’s standard subcontract agreement. A copy of Ohno’s standard subcontract agreement is available at its office locations or upon written request. Ohno Construction reserves the right to request that performance and payment bonds assuring subcontractor’s obligations to Ohno in the amount of 100 percent of the bid to Ohno. Ohno will reimburse the bond premium at actual cost not to exceed 2 percent. The surety must be a Washington admitted surety. Insurance must name Ohno, the project Owner and any other parties so designated as additionally insured and be in the types and amounts required by the specifications.
