Kamiak Butte Water System improvements

The project generally consists of demolition and reconstruction of well house around existing well head, construction of approximately 2,850 LF of 2" and 1” polyethylene water distribution main and piping improvements, construction of booster pump skid system, replacement of control wire up to the reservoir, associated electrical improvements, and surface/trail restoration at the Kamiak Butte County Park Water System. Work expected to begin Spring 2025. Full park closure anticipated for a maximum of 30 calendar days, with limited public access to park features throughout the duration of the project.

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that sealed bids for the Whitman County Kamiak Butte Water System Improvements project will be received in paper copy form by Whitman County Board of County Commissioners, State of Washington, at the Whitman County Courthouse Council Chambers in Colfax, WA, until 10:20 A.M. local time, on Monday, November 18, 2024, at which time all bids will be opened and publicly read. Any bids received after the specified time will not be considered, regardless of the reason. Refer to the Bidder’s Checklist for a list of items that are required in the bid.

Hard copies of the sealed bid proposals must be addressed to the Whitman County Board of County Commissioners and delivered to Whitman County Courthouse Council Chambers (400 N. Main Street, Colfax, WA 99111) by the time and date specified for opening, and in an envelope clearly marked “SEALED BID FOR WHITMAN COUNTY KAMIAK BUTTE WATER SYSTEM IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT (PN: KBWSI24”. In person acceptance of delivered bids will be available at the County Courthouse Building during normal hours of operation prior to bid opening. Handicap access to the Whitman County Courthouse is available on Mill Street. NO FACSIMILIES OR EMAILS WILL BE ACCEPTED.

 

SEALED BID PROPOSALS MUST BE DELIVERED BEFORE 10:20 A.M.

Bidders are strongly encouraged to attend the non-mandatory pre-bid meeting at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, November 6th, 2024 at the Kamiak Butte County Park (Kamiak Butte Park Rd., Palouse, WA 99161). For

All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in the form of a certified check, cashiers check, or surety bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid proposal. Only properly executed proposals submitted on the forms furnished in the Bidding Documents will be accepted. All bidders are required to submit a list of subcontractors that will perform work on the project amounting to ten percent (10%) or more of the contract amount.

 

Rejection of Bids: Whitman County reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, or any Bid not conforming to the intent and purpose of the Bidding Documents. No Bidder may withdraw their Bid within 60 days after the actual Bid Opening.
